Commission Reporting

How to navigate and read your commission report

Updated over 2 months ago

Disclaimer: Commission reports are created by an admin of your system. If you do not see commission reporting, it is because commission reports have not been published by an admin. Commission reports are calculated from the finalized residual data Elavon posts each month for the previous month. IE: April residuals post in May and so on.

All your published commission reports can be found in the commissions tab and with the Reports tab in the Merchant's detail card view in the Merchants tab.

Commissions Tab Reporting

Click on the Commission tab to open your published commission reports. Here you can view a list by either Batch or view by Merchant. You can also use the filters to narrow the list results by currency, effective month, merchant, sales user, lead source user, division, and batch type.

Note: when filter options are applied a coin is added to the top of the list. Click the X in the coin to remove the filter.

View By Batch

The batch view list displays batches in chronological order based on their effective month. The effective month is the month the commission report refers to. As previously mentioned, residuals post a month later and so the effective date is essential to knowing which month the commission report is about. IE: Commission reports posted in May with an effective date in April means the reporting pertains to the April residuals. You can also see the month and year in the batch name. The commission reports calculated from the residual data is more obvious than misc adjustment batches so it is important to observe the effective date grouping to know which month the report belongs to.

Batch Detail view

To view the content of a batch, click the batch name in the batch column and you will see a list of all the Merchants in the batch along with the amount of the bucket the commission is split from and the commission payment amount.

Merchant's Detail Reports Tab

If you're looking for a specific merchant's commission reporting you can search in the commissions tab or you can navigate to their reports tab in their merchant details card view. Go to the Merchants Tab, locate the merchant, click on the DBA name link to open the card, click on the Reports Tab, and then click Merchant revenue report.
